(Marla, Amy, Linda, and Laurie all childhood fans of Marla!) Yesterday was such a crazy day! I got my hair blown at 8 am (by the best in the business.) His name is ARSEN and he works as a hairdresser at LOUIS LICARI) I am not kidding ladies, Arsen is the BESSST at blow drying. I don’t know what he does that’s different than anyone else, but you have to trust me on this, he is THE BEST.
Then I ran over to the Today Show to see Joan Rivers who was going on the 10am hour with Hoda and Kathie Lee for her new book, which I feel I have to say.. IS ON THE BEST SELLER LIST! CONGRATS JOAN!! I gotta be honest, It’s still weird for me to go over there and not produce! I just wanna jump in and run the segment. Thank God some how I controlled myself!!Anyway that was fun! Then I had my childhood friend Marla Miller’s lunch at the Marriott Marquis. She was honored for being a great leader (woman)in a very male dominated profession.. We women don’t get recognized enough!!!! Marla has worked at Major League baseball for about 25 years and has really changed the face of so many things there! I knew she was getting honored, but let me tell you, it was a BIG deal. Jane Hanson, Rosanna Scotto and Janice Huff were there to support her as well. She gave a great speech and talked about how it was difficult at times to be there for her kids and husband, but she always was!! (Marla is also really humble, which makes her even more special!) I was really proud of her! My boys always thought Marla had the best job. I mean, baseball?? Come on Mom!! Anyway, congrats Marla!
So, As you all know by now, I love working in TV and have had so many unbelievable experiences, met probably every star there is, (except BARBRA!!! I NEED TO MEET BARBRA!) and have just never felt like I was “working” a day in my career.
Here is where “SO YOU WANNA BE ON TV” comes in..
