I just ran into an old Today Show friend in the  elevator at 3o Rock, and he said, “Love the blog”. Oy, I thought, I didn’t write one today. I better run back to my office and do it. SO BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!!!

Today was just one of those crazy days. On Wednesdays, I have a staff meeting with my boss, and other team leaders. Sounds so official, and I am so not corporate. I guess I am good for entertainment in these meetings. Then I ran to see my friend Marc Victor, who has a new big job and a big fancy pants office. (I am sitting in my cubicle as I write this!). Offices are so unimportant… right????? Just say yes, so I don’t feel badly about myself!

Last night was really fun. I took my 21 year old son Brett to see Joan Rivers do stand up. Now you have to understand, my boys have known Joan since the day they were born. The problem has been, my kids didn’t really get how BIG BIG BIG of a star Joan Rivers was and IS. That is until recently when my son Brett, who interns on a show, has Joan on the show. Everyone on his show loved Joan and thought she was hilarious. That night Brett writes to me. Joan was  hilarious today, everyone loved her. When can we go see her do stand up?

I was soooo happy. yah!! My son FINALLY GETS IT. JOAN IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELLO???????????????????????? WHY DON’T KIDS LISTEN WHEN YOU TELL THEM SOMETHING??????

Anyway, it was so much fun to go with him. Brett turned 21 a few weeks ago, so we had a drink together and I was  not  even embarrassed when Joan mentioned Vagina 45 times, even though I was sitting across from  him.

Rob Shuter also came to the show, and after we all had dinner with Joan. I mean, come on, my son better be nice to me for the next 24 hours for that one!! RIGHT??

But, here’s the kicker.. we leave the restaurant and TMZ  is waiting for Joan outside (they know where she is 24-7 and she always talks to them). They start throwing out questions to Joan, and Joan puts her arm around Brett and says she’s a cougar. Brett plays along and kisses her on the cheek. I mean,  how much fun for Brett. Watch and see if you see it on an upcoming TMZ.

Anyway, I went to bed at midnight, two drinks in… and was exhausted today… but the show must go on! I am running to watch the pieces that will air today.

More tomorrow. I actually have a date tonight…………………… TBD!
