So, Jane Hanson just interviewed Alec Baldwin in a little studio at 30 Rockefeller Center. I love working in this building. Just to get to the little studio where we were doing our interview, we passed by the Jimmy Fallon floor, where they have about 7 racks of clothes. I wonder if they were all for Jimmy??? I mean there were at least 100 button down shirts lining the hallway. So Jane and Alec were tucked away in a very small room/studio. I walked in after the interview had started, but you could tell immediately that he was full of charm today.!! I have met him before, but this was the most upfront and personal I had gotten with him.. okay, here’s the dirt… He is so handsome! Soooo nice, and very married. Too bad! lol. Kidding. But, I am a Long Island girl, we like Long Island boys!! What can I say?? And, he has lost a lot of weight, so i guess his new YOUNG wife is doing wonders for him ! We only saw a lovely side of Alec today! HEADLINE————————————
His hair DOES NOT look orange in person, in case you’re concerned about it. I know I was! Anyway, he couldn’t have been nicer. Thank god, because I hate when you like a celebrity and then when you meet them, and they’re not that nice, it’s extremely disappointing.. Jane was talking to him about his new movie, ” To Rome With Love”. I saw it last week with Rosanna Scotto and we both liked it. Very Woody Allen style of a movie, if you’re into that. Alec is adorable in it. Worth seeing.
It’s funny, our show is going off the air in about 7 weeks, but we have had fantastic celebrities on lately.
Just yesterday, we had Flo Rida, Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20) Big Ang (who was hysterical!) and for anyone my age, Ellen Burstyn. We had so much fun! Jason Bigg was on this week too, and he was adorable.. a New Jersey boy. Tom Arnold was here, Kylie Minogue (a little quiet), Curtis Stone (LOVE HIM) Kathryn Mcphee (more quiet than I had expected), Christian Borle (from Smash- sooo nice and adorable) Today, the great Bernadette Peters will be here. I love her. Talk about talent! OMG!.
I have met so many celebrities over the years, but the one who I have not met, and probably won’t is BARBRA STREISAND! I absolutely love her. I have heard some negative things about her, so maybe it’s better that I just live in my bubble and just think she’s the BABS that I love. Funny, lovely, talented and a great girlfriend. Let me just stay in that. Why be disappointed?? Right??
Rob Shuter and I just purchased tickets to see her in concert on Oct 13th- maybe Rob can get us backstage???? Rob??????? I am bringing my binoculars just in case!!!
Okay, back to New York Live……
What most people don’t understand (I am gonna brag here a little) is that we get GREAT CELEBS FOR A LOCAL SHOW!! Most celebrities PR people book them on the National Shows, like The Today Show, but we have made a reputation of our show being a lot of fun, so the celebs (and their PR people) are more inclined to come! Our show is fun. It’s light and it’s live, so anything can happen. That’s what I am going to miss the most.
Oh well, can’t dwell on that.. right?? Onward and upward!! I am staying around the city this weekend. I don’t have the energy to go to the Hamptons. I am so happy to do nothing!!!
