Nothing is in stone, but chances are that NY LIVE WILL BE SAVED!! That’s right, you heard it here first! Rumors are swirling and there is a probably a very good chance that NY LIVE will find a home in NY from 12:30 pm- 1:00 pm right here on WNBC. I am really happy because I think that the viewers spoke and someone upstairs listened!
I have decided that I will not be staying on. Now don’t start screaming.. hear me out. I think it’s time for a new chapter in my life, and sometimes you get this gut feeling, well, at least I do. My gut is telling me that this has been a great run, I have learned so much about restaurants, Broadway shows, fashion, and anything that says NY. But, our media training company is taking off, and I just feel that it’s time to do something different.. We are also managing some people’s careers, and that is something that I have always wanted to do!!! It feels right, and by the way, it’s working.
As I said, I am a person who needs somewhere to go in the morning, so I had better find an office (cheap, free.. any offers:?) in NYC. (I am fun to have around!).
I have to say, and this goes back to relationships in the business. People I have met along the way in this very very very long career have been so loyal and have introduced me to fantastic people, who have then introduced me to other fab people, and that’s how we are getting our clients to media train.
And there’s no age limit. Just last week we media trained a 14 year old who wants to be on air for the Food Network. Fingers crossed he gets the job!
Listen, I am not saying that I won’t ever be back producing a TV show, I hope I will be, but I also do love what I am doing now.
Oh yeah, my on air career is picking up a bit too! I will be appearing as Joan’s (River’s) producer on the Joan and Melissa’s reality show (that should be soooo much fun) and I am going to be making an appearance on an upcoming Oxygen reality show.. So, who knows… maybe this new chapter will be even more fun than the last. I WILL NOT BE CHANGING MY LONG ISLAND JEWISH ACCENT NO MATTER WHAT!
All I can say is that I am not scared, I am excited and who knows what I will be talking about just 6 months from now.
Anyway, I will keep you informed on NY LIVE as it develops! Very exciting if It happens!!
Off to all day meetings.. Oy, I don’t do well in those! I better behave!

I hope the show will be on for at least a half hour. It’s amazing that NBC would cancel such a fun, intellectually stimulating show. there is such fabulous chemistry with everyone. I’m really not happy with the shows that you are planning to air at 2 pm and 3pm. PLEASE reconsider.
So sorry to hear this but hope that the 30 minutes at least works out. Ny Live was my hour of enjoyment tv everyday. Good luck to all the wonderful people who are on/run this show.
Awesome news that our favorite show New York Live will continue!!!!!!! YAY
